Cel-Fi’s GO+ RV booster has a unique design that allows it to provide the strongest possible boost available today. While it sacrifices the ability to boost signals from multiple carriers simultaneously, it should still easily be a top contender for the majority of users.

It also has a durable aluminum casing and an easy-to-install outdoor antenna. Although it cannot boost signals for all carriers simultaneously, the unit does support all U.S. carriers and includes 5G support. Keep in mind that, while there are numerous wireless service companies in the U.S., all of them use the same four networks: Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, and U.S. Cellular. This means you do not have to worry about compatibility if your carrier is not listed by name. For families and other users who share the same cellular network, the GO+’s single-carrier limitation will not be noticeable at all, and for others, switching between networks is easy and hardly an inconvenience. The result is a stronger boost with a little trade-off.

WHAT WE LIKE

The GO+ RV, by boosting a single signal at a time, is able to exceed FCC guidelines that limit cell boosters, providing a max signal gain of 100 dB. Because of this approach, this booster is the strongest on this list by a significant margin.

PROS

  • 100 dB max gain due to boosting only one carrier at a time
  • 5G, all-network support
  • Stationary and mobile modes
  • Multiple users at a time

CONS

  • A bit bulky
  • On the expensive side
  • Boosts one carrier at a time

The big brother of WeBoost’s Drive Sleek booster, which we will talk about later on, the Drive X RV booster is another model with a lot going for it. It has 5G compatibility, works on all United States carriers, and provides service for multiple users inside your RV. The Drive X also works both stationary and moving, and includes AC/DC power supplies.

Another major advantage here is easy, tool-free installation, which allows for the antenna to be easily configured in a number of different ways to find the best signal. This unit is also set apart by its incredibly light, clean design: it weighs only 0.8 pounds and measures 6.25 x 4.25 x 1 inch. It surely will not be an eyesore on and in your RV. And with reliable U.S.-based customer service and a two-year warranty, any issues should be a breeze to fix.

WHAT WE LIKE

One benefit to note right away is the 5G compatibility with all networks, which WeBoost has worked to include in all of its current products, providing some peace of mind for long-term use.

PROS

  • 5G, all-network support
  • Lightweight and easy to install
  • Warranty and customer service

CONS

  • On the more expensive side
  • 50 dB max gain – powerful, but outshined by some others

The SureCall Fusion2Go 3.0 is another strong entry in today’s signal booster market. A compact, ruggedly-built unit, this booster brings the strong reputation of SureCall, which has a history of recognition for its products and patented technology.

With its metal exterior, the Fusion2Go is built to last, and it looks the part. While the device is advertised as being compatible with 5G devices, it does not actually have the capability to boost 5G signals, which, while not quite as future-ready as other options, is not the biggest concern given the current state of 5G availability. This is pretty much the only downside to this unit, however. The design of the antenna can be either a positive or a negative depending on preference. While it’s being attached to the booster itself makes for a simpler setup, you may have fewer options for configuration.

WHAT WE LIKE

SureCall’s technology provides a reliable boost on all networks, and It features a straightforward LED light display on the unit itself, simplifying the process of testing and monitoring your boost.

PROS

  • Affordable price
  • Patented “2XP” boosting technology
  • Compact design

CONS

  • No 5G support
  • 50 dB max gain – powerful, but outshined by some others
  • Antenna is attached to booster

WeBoost’s second offering included in this review, the Drive Sleek, is a little different than all the others, but it could be the best option for some RV owners. Instead of using an antenna that boosts cell signals throughout the vehicle, the Drive Sleek has a cradle that boosts the signal of a single phone at a time. If you tend to be the only person in your RV, or you don’t mind being able to boost only one phone at a time, then the Drive Sleek’s significantly lower price point may be very attractive.

The Drive Sleek operates on DC power from your 12-volt cigarette lighter port, is 5G compatible, and works with all cell carriers. While its max signal gain is lower than the others on this list, capping at 23 dB, it is still able to provide a significant boost. Decibel signal gain is exponential rather than linear, meaning that 23 dB of boost will provide a signal many times stronger than without a booster.

The unit makes the most of what could be seen as a disadvantage to its design, providing the option to charge your phone while in the cradle and mount that cradle for use as a hands-free stand for navigation. Made of plastic, it will fit phones between 5.1 and  7.5 inches in length. While it has some limitations that other devices don’t, WeBoost does a great job here of turning those limitations into features and creating a great user experience.

WHAT WE LIKE

The Drive Sleek operates on DC power from your 12-volt cigarette lighter port, is 5G compatible, and works with all cell carriers. While its max signal gain is lower than the others on this list, capping at 23 dB, it is still able to provide a significant boost.

PROS

  • Cost effective
  • 5G, all-carrier support
  • Charges phone while in use
  • Consistent boost while in the cradle

CONS

  • Only one user at a time
  • Phone must be in cradle to boost signal
  • 23 dB max gain

The final entry on this list is King’s Extend signal booster. With a design similar to WeBoost’s Drive X booster, this device is another 5G-ready option for increasing your signal on the road.

The main benefits of King’s booster are its all-carrier 5G capabilities and its variety of included mounting options.

WHAT WE LIKE

The unit is built to be versatile for use with RV and other vehicles as well as cabins and other stationary homes. King also advertises that its boosters are the preferred choice of first responders, which lends a bit of peace of mind in terms of their reliability.

PROS

  • 5G, all-carrier support
  • Versatile mounting options
  • Trusted by first responders

CONS

  • Outdoor antenna design does not blend in
  • Boost range from indoor antenna seems to be shorter than others
  • Only comes with AC power supply

The Verdict

Although these are all great options and constitute the best signal boosters currently on the market, it is difficult not to recommend the Cel-Fi GO+ booster for the vast majority of users. The step-up in price is well worth it for the exponentially more powerful boost you’ll get, and its functional downsides are negligible for most people when compared to the benefits. On a tight budget, the Drive Sleek is a great option as well, but Cel-Fi’s booster is simply impossible to beat when it comes to pure signal strength and design. Now, go take your RV adventures to the next level!
